Dave, Charlie, and Bev have bigger problems
ByFrom ‘Starsky & Hutch’ to ‘Lost,’ TV moving online
“TV-industry watchers say Hulu and other sites that stream shows represent a step toward the inevitable convergence of the Internet and TV. Within a year or so, more TVs will come with jacks for Ethernet cords, McQuivey said, allowing an Internet signal to stream directly into the set. ”

According to some sites on the Internet Dave, Charlie, and Bev- and even Comcast are facing an even bigger challenge than FTA ever was. FTA isn’t even a consideration for this story.
The numbers of Internet tv watchers are growing across the country. Cable prices have continued to rise, and people all over the country have grown weary of paying Dave and Charlie outrageous prices for services. They are dropping their subs, and using their internet connection to watch tv, movies, sports, and more.

And, the wives can watch their soaps whenever they like on the sites that they originate from.
Charlie may wish that he’d left fta alone. At least FTA’ers usually have subs.
You can watch NFL games online live. Sites like Justin TV, NBC, TVU player, Ziggy TV, and the Readon player are all free places where you can pick up free internet tv.
And, with Internet tv, there are more movie choices than Dave or Charlie can offer.
This is not a propaganda for some site.
This is to help my fellow fta’ers with their daily grind. If you’re down, you don’t have to be. Just hook your computer to your tv, and hook up to one of these sites, and you’ll be watching movies, football, baseball, soccer(ugh!) or even Nascar in no time.
And the best part is that it’s free. You do have to have a very good internet connection, though. Might want to upgrade to a faster DSL.
But, the channels, movies, sports, and other options you’ll see are more than Dave or Charlie ever had to give.
Right now, you won’t always get every football game, but NBC is broadcasting Sunday Night Football live.
Sopcast has a lot of games, and Justin TV does, too.
It’s even possible to see movies that just came out in theatres on these setups.
If FTA doesn’t come out with a fix, just use an antenna for your locals, and enjoy all the benefits of internet tv.
You won’t miss your stb at all.
It’s just a different way of watching TV.
Some channels have higher quality than others. Some aren’t so good. But, they’re free.
And, you don’t have to subscribe to those pay sites, either. The sites I have mentioned are free, and they have very good programming.
